December 23, 2016

2016 was a prosperous year for 50 Authors from 50 States blog.  We broke 150,000 visitors!  When I started this project in 2010, I wasn’t sure the outcome but, with everyone’s help, it’s become a successful avenue to show others what we can do.  Thank you to all the writing professionals who participate on the blog each year.  Your contributions help mold 50 Authors from 50 States into a fantastic project that brings beauty, diversity and talent of the USA to life.

The participating Bloggers with the most comments for their post during their week of their month got their name thrown into a hat. I randomly drew one of the twelve names and Patricia Wood of New Mexico was the Participant Winner. Patricia's post aired in July 2016 and you can check it out in the archives.

Patricia Wood picked a winner from the list of people who commented during that week.

Congratulations go out to Mary D.  who won the 2016 Grand Prize—a surprise gift from me and GROW Nebraska, a local co-op of entrepreneurs from my home state of Nebraska that of which I'm involved. Click on the Grow link to learn more about GROW Nebraska and those producers and products.

Congratulations also go out to Patricia Wood.  I’ve sent a thank-you for her work towards the success of 50 Authors from 50 States Blog-also a gift from GROW Nebraska.
