I see your counts heading up and I’m praying that you all are doing well on
this Easter Sunday and through this terrible flood of illness. Especially during this last year, I’ve found
the people of Iowa to be
welcoming and accepting and my heart goes out to you
as you fight this invisible illness.

Connie Hecker is a published author, teacher and mentor. Her published work includes fourteen books
(twelve non-fiction), for children, teens and adults.
She taught college level book and magazine courses at the
Institute of Children’s Literature for more than twenty years.
She served as Iowa’s Regional Advisor Emeritus for the Society of
