When people hear the name Texas, many different things come to mind.
The truth is, Texas is such a large state, that what a person can expect to
find depends on what part of Texas they're referring to. Sure, there are areas
full of small towns; rodeos, festivals and the like, but there are also some of
America's largest cities; Austin, Houston, Dallas, etc. So, put aside any
preconceived notions regarding this proud state, and come to see what Texas has
to offer.
With its rich history, diverse
population, and the right to carry a gun on your hip, there's no place quite
like Texas. It's listed as a conservative state, but as with any area that's
home to so many different cultures, many areas in Texas are open-minded and
tolerant. It's a state of opportunity and support, as well as delightful sweet
tea and even sweeter people.
Since the release of my first book, Shadow Pact, I've had a
wonderful opportunity to travel throughout Texas and meet a number of
fascinating people, including other authors. The support system in this great
state has been tremendous, though I guess I really shouldn't be surprised.
After all, Texas is well known for its state pride, and supporting one another
as a unified group. From cattle and horses to history and diversity, there's no
place quite like Texas.

I must take a look at these authors. Often times our home area shows up in how we create our stories. Likes states, every author is different. These are nice introductory posts.
