Alaska Writers Guild

I didn’t have an Alaska blogger volunteer this year so I searched the web and found this great group-- Alaska Writers Guild.

Alaska Writers Guild is an organization supporting published and unpublished writers in Alaska. If you have written, are writing, or are thinking of writing, you want to be a part of this dynamic group, which meets monthly for fun, fellowship, and programs of interest to writers at all skill levels. Alaska Writers Guild is designed to educate and inform beginning, intermediate and published writers. Members gain information and skills in which they may form a plan of action and a system of working with editors, agents, public relations people, printers, publishers, bookstores, and marketing people.

They host an Annual Conference with happens to be in September 2017.  The information is on the site.

They have several divisions of Membership—also available on their site. One unique opportunity is Family Membership which is a great idea--most of my inspiration comes from my family.

Check out the sampling of novels by the AWG Members.  Some of these have guested on this blog before so I urge you to check out the Alaska Archives in the sidebar.
