Alaska: and Everywhere - Promotional Guru and Prolific Author, Welcome C. Hope Clark

C. Hope Clark gives back to her writing community through her website FundsforWriters.com. The success of the website and newsletter earned it a place on Writer's Digest Magazine's 101 Best Websites for Writers for the past 19 years. Additionally, in 2019 the site earned awards from The Write Life (100 Best Websites for Writers), a Booksie award (Top 100 Writing Site), and Best Writing Schools' blog recognition (Top 50 Writing Blog). 

As an author herself, C. Hope Clark also publishes two mystery series, the Carolina Slade Mysteries and The Edisto Island Mysteries, through Bell Bridge Books out of Memphis, TN. In 2019, she publisher two books, both in the Edisto Island Mystery series; Dying on Edisto (April 2019) and Edisto Tidings (October 2019), as well as Writing Contests with Hope, a FundsforWriters publication (March 2019). She has served on faculties at conferences across the country, from Las Vegas to St. Louis, from Pennsylvania to Nebraska, and many in between. 

She's published chapters in the Writer's Market and the Guide to Literary Agents, both through Writer's Digest books, and published in Writer's Digest and The Writer Magazines. 

She guest posts in blogs on many topics, using her positive, "keep moving forward" attitude to promote others as well as her work. She averages 30 guest posts a year in addition to her weekly posts in FundsforWriters. She's been interviewed in dozens of newsletters, blog posts and magazines, the most recent being Chapin Magazine (December 2019) and Writers Forum, UK (March 2019). 
But might be most proud of narrating her novels at the SC State Library for their Talking Book Services for the sight and physically impaired, and in 2019 completed Palmetto Poison, Newberry Sin, and Dying on Edisto

She has eight books in the system to date. Her work earned acceptance into the National Library System's BARD program, making the books available nation-wide. She ranks as the most checked out author in the South Carolina Talking Book system.

  2. Informative post. My books are being narrated and they are hugely disappointing. I wish I could do them myself since I has experience making my own hypnosis tapes for sale. I congratulate you on your successes and your drive.

  3. I wish my publisher hadn't hired narrators, too. I've read all my books into the National Library System (BARD) which is audio books for the blind and limited. I'm doing my best to snare audio rights to read my books in audio from this point forward. We shall see!
